Custom Home Builder Biddeford wants this website to work for everyone planning a new home, including people who use a screen reader or navigate by keyboard only. We design toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA and keep checking against it as the site changes.

If a form, a town map or anything else here gets in your way, call us or email [email protected] and we will work on the problem. You can always describe your land and your house by phone rather than through a form.

Everyone thinking about building a new home should be able to read and use this site, screen reader and keyboard users included. Below is how we approach that and what you can do if a page blocks you.

Our Commitment

Accessibility is part of how we design and review each page, not a one-time audit that gets filed away. When we find a barrier, or a visitor tells us about one, it goes on the list to fix.

The Standard We Work Toward

We design this site to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Because no test catches everything, we do not claim full conformance, yet those guidelines shape each design and build decision we make.

What We Have Built In

  • A clear heading order on every page, and link text that names its destination
  • Alt text on images that carry meaning, and a visible label for every form field
  • Text and button colors tested for WCAG Level AA contrast

Known Limitations

Our interactive town maps can be hard to use with a screen reader. Each town shown on a map also appears as a plain text link on that page, so no information lives only in the map.

A street address on our contact page opens Google Maps in a new tab, a service with its own accessibility features and limits. The contact page also shows our phone number and email address as plain text.

How to Report a Problem

Let us know the page and the task that caused trouble, by email at [email protected] or by calling the number on our contact page. We will look into it and work toward a fix.

Other Ways to Reach Us

A form that will not work for you should never stand between you and a walk of your lot, so give us a call instead. On a call, we can take down the details of your land and your house and set a time to see the site.

Updates to This Statement

Whenever the site changes in a meaningful way, we review this statement again. What you see on this page is the current version.
